Coffin Family Reunion

Hot! Humid! Help! It's been pretty unbearable all week Poor HB and JAC up there on that hot roof:(

I've only been able to go outside in bits and spurts. Just now I ran out there for a minute to save one if my Clematis from some bindweed. Then I ran right back in. I accidentaly dehydrated myself yesterday I was feeling all kinds of sick at the store.

I read that the Iraqi's not only don't have electicity in Baghdad but now their water is contaminated and they have no water to drink. I doubt if anyone that can help will care enough to do anything. Whenever it gets real hot I think of everyone in Iraq and count my blessings.

When HB was over there I never complained about the heat to him. And I learned not to talk about good food. And I sent him lot's of bottled water the first 4 months.

Today was the Coffin Family Reunion. It was real hot and Austin was real tired so we only stayed for a couple of hours. The Coffins were a whaling family that lived on Nantucket Island. I know all kinds of interesting things about that branch of my family. But we will save that for another day. Maybe next reunion.

Garden of Weedin

Beautiful morning:)69 degrees outside.

I have 6 tomato plants, 6 pepper plants, 2 cantaloupe plants, 2 cucumber plants, 1 summer squash and a watermelon.

Weeds Suck! That's what I'll be doing today all day from the looks of it. Weeding yuck! I'm almost ready for ROUNDUP! The rabbits have been nibbling. Probably when Bella is sleeping in the morning after catting around all night long. If I don't leave her out she rudely makes me get up around 4 a.m. and let her out. She can be a nag.

Everybody is still sleeping. Austin and JL are at Austin's grandma's house till tomorrow. Then we are going to Derby for Fathers Day. HB was up late last night transporting JAC. So I have to try to let him sleep in. Not very easy for me.

My Endless Summer Hydrangea is starting to look better and it's blooming:) The weed problem in my secret garden is 75% better than last year and I'm going to take care of another 20% today. Yeah!!! One war down just another 5 or 6 to go. Maybe next week I'll eradicate some Vinca vine .

Well I guess it's time to go outside and chase away some rabbits. You would think they would stay away what with the bad Karma and all. I've seen and heard at least 10 bunny deaths this past month. But they just keep coming. TTFN

Just Another Day

It's raining. Haven't done much to the yard just a little tidying up here and there. I received an ad from Brecks They have some Iris that re-bloom all summer. I have to have some. Maybe I will give you some Mother dear. I get the pink one. And the blue one.

I need to start going out and looking at baby beds for JRs baby. They are registered at Target if anyone is wondering. We will be having a baby party after the baby is born. I already gave them some formula and baby clothes. If he's anything like his daddy they won't fit after 2 weeks. So if you get clothes I suggest 3 months and up.

We went to Aquabi to barbecue with Sue and Paul. As soon as we finished eating it started raining and then there was a Tornado Watch till 2 a.m. So we came home in the pouring rain. It wasn't too bad driving till we got almost to town when I had to slow down because I couldn't see the road.

Now it's a nice rain the kind you dance in. hmmmmm.
Well gotta go TTFN....
