One of my favorite stories from childhood is "The Bluebird", I was fascinated that the children looked everywhere for the Bluebird of Happiness only to come home and find it in their own backyard;)
I have a nest with baby bunnies right in my backyard and I sat there in my kitchen watching the momma eat her fur and cover up the nest with grass. Do you have any idea why she would do that. I could send you some pictures that I took this evening if I knew how, maybe I'll figure it out tomorrow. Nature is an amazing thing isn't it?
I LOVE the photo of your visitor! I have a bunny trail in my garden where I have statuary bunnies here and there...I also have a few of the real thing eating up all my blooming pansies!!munch munch
amazing pic.I want a wildlife attracting garden. My old hospital where i did nurse training had rabbits running around outside the glass link corridors.Posing bunny!
I have a big, fat bunny living/feasting in my backyard too! Last year he dug up and ate most of my tulip bulbs. This year, I am spreading cat fur in my gardens and so far (madly knocking on wood) I haven't lost a single tulip bulb.
