Garden Bloggers Bloom Day

Two days ago I didn't think I would have anything blooming today, other than some droopy tulips and a few bent daffodils.

But then I noticed some bright yellow flowers in the lawn and started to get my hopes up:)

I found some creeping phlox on the wall, I'd like to get some other colors this year.

What's this! It's suposed to be a Mount Hood Daffodil, but it just doesn't look white enough to me.

It would be nice if at least one daffodil in my moon garden would turn out to be white. Well that's it for blooms in my garden. Better luck next year, I hope;)

Get Thalia daffodils. They are heirlooms and very white. I have two patches of them from two different sources and they are both white.

That's good advice from OldRoses - I like Thalia, too. The individual flowers are smaller, but they're so graceful and have a nice scent.

Beverly, the creeping phlox is a great color - and it sure looks full of buds. I used to have a pretty white one, but the magenta kind is so loud you can't see any other flowers within 10 feet ;-]

I hope spring will make up its mind to stay with you midwesterners, instead of wavering back and forth. You must be desperate when dandelions start looking good!

That's a beautiful rich dark purple for a tulip. And your phlox looks great.

I'm jealous you can have tulips. They don't grow down in S. Florida. Consider yourself lucky.

Did your Mount Hood fade to a whiter white? Mine started out pale yellow but faded to white. (I wasn't looking for blue-white, so they ended up white enough for me. I've never tried Thalia but I'll be looking for it in the fall.)

Karen-This one stayed yellow till it died, but the others turned out white:)
